BETA TC Summer School Drives Climate-Smart Agriculture

Vic, Spain – April 26th, 2024 – The BETA Technological Center (BETA TC) at the University of Vic (UVIC) successfully concluded its 2nd SMART4ENV Summer School. Titled “Strategies for Adapting to and Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change in the Agricultural Sector,” the intensive three-day program offered insights into sustainable practices for building a resilient food system.

The SMART4ENV project, of which the summer school is a part, aims to boost the scientific capacity of TUBITAK MAM (Turkey) in the field of smart environmental technologies to address climate change challenges. The summer school specifically focused on equipping students, professionals, and farmers with knowledge and tools in nutrient management, sustainable practices, water management, and nature-based solutions, all crucial for creating climate-smart agriculture.“
